About Franklin

Franklin has been passionate about running for as long as he can remember, with cycling becoming a natural extension of that love for endurance. Over the years he has completed several marathons, with his fastest in 2:53, alongside 70.3 races, a full Ironman, ultra cycling events, and the Tarawera.

He brings a scientific and highly analytical approach to sport. Franklin thrives on understanding the "why" behind training—diving into data, nutrition, performance research, and personalised methods that help athletes unlock their potential. Whether he's exploring new training techniques or breaking down numbers, he brings clarity and structure to the process.

Franklin also has a deep love for trail running and adventure. At 18 he began bikepacking, a passion that has taken him across countries like Tanzania, Tajikistan, and Nepal. Planning routes and discovering new trails remains one of his greatest joys—and something he now shares with Josien.

Above all, Franklin is a dedicated father with a genuine love for endurance sports and the community that comes with it.
